What is a verbal home inspection?
A verbal home inspection is used to provide a quick run-down summary and overall impression of the major cost areas and components of the inside of a property. No formal written report is provided.
Who needs a verbal home inspection?
It is usually the most preferred route for potential homebuyers who find themselves in multiple-offer situations. The walkthrough home inspection allows potential clients to view the home while hearing about the more substantial cost items.
On the other hand, for sellers, a verbal inspection is ideal when they don’t want a written report, but want the most important areas visually assessed (whether to consider repairs, to know what to expect in the negotiation with the buyers or to accurately fill out the Seller’s Disclosure Statement).
